Our Story
In 2024, the venue we worked at closed for repairs, with only a vague assurance that weddings booked for 2025 wouldn’t be affected. To keep things running smoothly and ensure our couples received the planning and design experience they expected from the all-inclusive venue, we set up a design studio in Port Aransas and began scouting alternative locations, just in case. The venue remains vacant, but our team is still here, eagerly waiting.
In the meantime, we’ve been having a great time exploring new locations, getting creative, and connecting with like-minded individuals. It was during this period that Nocturne was conceived. We built new relationships and discovered unique win-win opportunities that are sure to keep the local wedding market on its toes.

Kristi Lauren
After 20 years in corporate law and extensive travel, nocturne is the outcome of a 10-year social exploration and self-reflection experience. Creating joyful celebrations of love is a gift that landed in her lap and she has been honoring that gift every day since.
Aurora Karine
As an actress with years of experience on set, she has an eye towards creating well-choreographed event flows as if they were to be played out on screen.
Edward Gibney
The most experienced of us all when it comes to the hospitality business to which he literally grew up in. Setting a career path for himself in event planning and execution along with the culinary degree he holds and years as a chef creating lively menus.
Chris Curry
A pulitzer prize nominated photo journalist he found his niche in destination wedding photography and enjoys getting creative with the brides and grooms that he works with.
